Summer Fun Fair

Visit the Kadampa World Peace Temple in Glen Spey, NY for our 13th Annual Fun Fair on Saturday July 8th 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Enjoy this community extravaganza featuring fresh vegetarian food and juice bar, artist vendors, music, and a variety of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Named River Reporter’s “Best Meditation Center,” spend the entire day relaxing and exploring the 82 acres of natural beauty including three onsite nature trails. Inside the World Peace Temple drop into a guided meditation and temple tour offered hourly throughout the fair or peruse the gift shop and Buddhist Bookstore. The World Peace Cafe & Espresso Bar, located in the Lodge, features organic, locally roasted coffee and will be offering gourmet desserts and treats as well as views of the pristine natural surroundings.
Kids and families are welcome and can enjoy an entire day of entertainment for children. The kid’s carnival features fair games, kids’ hike, storytelling, various craft tables, and more.
Visitors are also welcome to make a weekend of it to fully experience all that the Kadampa World Peace Temple has to offer. On Sunday attend a meditation class and teaching called “Prayers for World Peace” (by donation) held from 11:00 a.m – 12:30 p.m. At 1:00 p.m.. will be a community vegetarian lunch ($7). Take an additional day to explore the beautiful grounds onsite.
Accommodations, including camping, are available before and after the event. Come early, stay late, and take full advantage of this great summer weekend with something for the whole family.

Kadampa Meditation Center and the World Peace Temple in Glen Spey, NY is extending an invitation to your business to participate in our 13th Annual Fun Fair on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 as a business vendor. The Fun Fair is a day of free entertainment and activities for the general public including live music, kids’ games and activities, guided meditations and temple tours, food, and more.
Our marketing team promotes this event within a 100-mile radius and attracts over 900 people from the Tri-State area, including 5,000 postcards and many posters, 6,500 newsletter subscribers, 12,000 Facebook fans, and more.
Activities at our fair appeal to people of all ages and of a variety of backgrounds, with a large emphasis on children and families. Fairgoers tend to spend the entire day perusing the grounds and the various vendor booths onsite. This is a great opportunity to promote your products and services by gaining visibility in our community.
Vendor booths start at 10’x10’ in size. It is free for non-profits and community organizations; starting at $15 for artist vendors and $50 for business vendors. All proceeds raised from the Fun Fair go directly to the International Temple Project, which helps build more meditation and World Peace Temples throughout the world with the goal of helping people find more peace and happiness in their lives.
