We will see KMC NY’s unique role in fulfilling this vision and what the temple is doing to bring this about. The modern Buddhist Temple at KMC New York was designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche as part of the International Temples Project, and was constructed largely through the help of volunteers over a five year time period. It was opened in 2006 by Venerable Geshe-la.
