Solving Problems From the Inside Out
Families Weekend with Angela Stewart & Milanda Marshall
August 15 – 17 | Registration Opens June 19th at 2pm
The family weekend is a chance for families to meet, have fun and experience a meaningful weekend together. With an array of enjoyable and enriching activities designed with your family in mind, our weekend will feature meditation practice and teachings on Buddhism in a family-friendly environment at the World Peace Temple. In addition, we have a variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities lined up, including nature walks, games, dance, arts and crafts, singing, and a camp fire.
This year's theme is Solving Problems From the Inside Out and our classes will focus on integrating Buddhist teachings into family life to enhance love, strengthen relationships, and foster deeper connections. This is a chance for everyone in the family to learn how to strengthen their mind to be more flexible, creative, and patient. With Buddha’s wisdom we can improve our ability to solve our problems of anger, frustration, loneliness, and disappointment more effectively. When families practice together, the effect on each other will make a profound difference.
We suggest that you plan for varying weather conditions and consult your registration packet for essential details. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, long sleeves/pants for trail walks, and a headlamp or flashlight for navigating the grounds after dark.
