Healing the World

Overcoming the Three Poisons

October 23 – 26‍ ‍|‍ ‍20th Anniversary Weekend Course with Gen Samten Kelsang & Kadam Kyle Davis
Registration Opens September 9 at 2pm

War, strife, and all forms of inner and outer conflict arise from the three poisons of attachment, anger and ignorance. This elegant diagnosis from Buddha's wisdom allows us to comprehend all of the problems in the world, see there is a solution, and start to make real progress in healing ourselves and the world around us. We move from divisive, limited thinking that makes us blame our neighbors, times, and things outside our control for our unhappiness and the problems we see. As a result, we can contribute to healing and create a harmonious world.

In this special, 20th Anniversary event, our two Resident Teachers Kadam Kyle Davis and Gen Samten Kelsang will guide us on an experiential journey on how to use Medicine Buddha practice to heal these three poisons. Step-by-step, we will see how our non-acceptance and anger, craving and attachment, and ignorance have concocted all the troubles in our life and world. Then we will see precisely how to eradicate these inner poisons for both ourselves and others.

KMC New York's sole mission is world peace through helping people through meditation, so there is no better way to celebrate than to explore precisely how this can and will happen. It is also an unparalleled opportunity to celebrate our Founder, Venerable Geshe-la, and his kindness in opening this temple 20 years ago, which he did with beautiful teachings on Medicine Buddha practice. We will be able to dive into these and see how they apply perfectly to our modern situation. Everyone welcome!
