Silent Meditation Retreat: Finding Peace in a Fast-Paced World

July 10 – 14 | Silent Guided Meditation Retreat
with Rebecca Rehorn and Sara Wendt
Registration Opens May 20 at 2pm

It’s time to taste some inner peace. Be kind to yourself and give yourself some space to discover the tranquility within your own mind.

In a world of so many gadgets and devices, notifications and responsibilities, we can feel we never can slow down and relax. This fast-paced lifestyle starts to be reflecting in our thinking and our mind can become erratic, stressed, and in a constant state of anxiety. We then sometimes respond by trying to become even MORE fast-paced, active, and distracted, hoping this will somehow give us the relief we seek.

In this beginner’s silent retreat, we will use the power of silence, concise and accessible teachings, and beautiful meditations to facilitate an inner oasis in our hearts. Through taking time to create this inner refuge, we will see there are new ways to live and feel and we will bring this new perspective back to our lives, feeling refreshed, uplifted and inspired. Everyone welcome!

Designed for those new to retreat, these gentle silent retreats allow you to ease into being fully quiet and focused on your meditation. The Friday introduction gives an overview of what to expect during the retreat and learn about which meditations will be the main focus. Silence begins Saturday after lunch, giving you time to settle in, meet other retreat attendees and then go inwards. Each retreat session is guided and has plenty of time to meditate. With time for rest and being in nature during the breaks, this retreat is perfect for building confidence in our own capacity for being still, quiet and meditative. Anyone can benefit from this retreat format and is one of our most anticipated retreats throughout the year. This center is run by volunteers who have plenty of experience in silent retreats and love to help new people enjoy this amazing opportunity to do the same.
