****DAY COURSE TEMPLATE: Anger Management: A Buddhist Perspective

March 7 | Saturday Workshop
with KMC NY Teacher
Registration Opens December 29 at 2pm

Working with anger has nothing to do with simply being passive. Instead it is an active, courageous response to our mental habits. When we encounter difficulties, we usually get stuck thinking “should I do this, or should I do that?” Instead, we want to see there are more options: “Should I do this with an angry mind, or should I do that with an angry mind? Should I do this with a peaceful mind, or should I do that with a peaceful mind?”

When we see we can approach every situation from a peaceful perspective, we see the futility of anger and how it makes us unhappy, erratic, and irrational and ultimately far less effective at solving problems. In this course, we will see how to move our mind from an unpeaceful, non-accepting state to a peaceful, wise state that can respond to life’s challenges with a flexible, open heart.
