Meditation & Buddhism in New York

Retreat Center & Temple for World Peace

Winter Retreats

 guided by Gen Samten Kelsang

A meditation retreat is a period of time when we step back from our daily activities and let go of normal worries and concerns. In this way, we begin to discover the natural clarity and spaciousness of our mind. As we become more focused, we are able to deepen our practice of meditation easily. Training in the special meditation practices of Sutra and Tantra, we develop inner wisdom, a warm and loving mind, and the happiness of inner peace. Through these methods we will eventually attain enlightenment. The World Peace Temple is a perfect place for qualified retreat. In the natural stillness of this very blessed environment, we can enter into deeper states of concentration amid few distractions.
