Creating Buddhist Art
KMC-NY is a fast-growing center of Buddhist art. Under the guidance of qualified art instructors, students are training in the traditional arts of painting Buddha images, guilding, finishing and painting statues, crafting temple adornments, and other artistic disciplines.
The center offers occasional courses in Buddhist art for both new and experienced artists.
Statue making
Plans are also being made for a studio for casting large statues, which will be supplied to Temples throughout America and beyond.
Craftspeople from the Kadampa Studio in at Manjushri KMC in England where statues for Temples around the world are cast, will train the team.
